Cassandra Jade Hamilton
Architectural Designer

Hello! I’m Cassandra Jade Hamilton, but you can call me Cassie.

I began my journey at Forsyth Technical Community College in my hometown of Winston Salem, NC, where I earned my Associate’s degree in Architectural Technology.

People often ask me why I chose architecture. When I first applied to college, I chose architecture somewhat spontaneously. However, I vividly remember my first day in an architecture class. I was the first to arrive, giving me a moment to absorb my surroundings. The room was adorned with posters of past student projects and renowned architects I didn’t know. I had no understanding of the intricacies of those projects.Â

But I WANTED to know more. I felt at home, I was ready for the possibility of creating the incredible work I saw on those walls. From that day forward, I fell further in love with architecture and have never looked back.

My dad loves to tell the story of when I was in daycare. I was the only toddler who could figure out how to stack the wooden blocks. I’ve always been drawn to the structure of things and how they’re made. I truly believe that architecture is a passion placed in my heart by God.
